Researching Work at Home: What Kelly Land herself has learned about researching work at home.

Being a Virtual Assistant: The 5 Key Steps to Earning a Full-Time Income From Home (Guest Article)

Work From Home Data Entry with Fusion Cash: Answers to your tough Fusion Cash questions.

Home Job :: Legitimate Work: The million dollar home job question is....are there legitimate type work at home jobs out there?
I'm asked this million dollar question daily. If I had the answer --well....I'd be a multi-millionaire. That doesn't mean I don't have some suggestions. I do. After all -- like you, I want to make a reasonable income from home as well.

Home Job: Home job searching can be frustrating. Lets face it, there are over 100 million web sites out there claiming to be THE home job resource.

Planning Work at Home: I'm gonna let you in on a work at home secret that I have discovered after doing years of work at home research and trying to make an extra income myself. Work at Home JOBS are scarce!

Creating a Home Office Area That's Cozy and Functional: OH yes.....all too well I remember the days when I first started working at home. I knew -- I mean I really, really knew that I was gonna be able to do it. Nothing was gonna stand in my way! Not even the HUGE mounds of laundry I envisioned! Oh yes yes...I would let the laundry stack up I told myself. I will let the dishes pile up. I will not let anything "domestic" interfere with my 100% dedication to my new "work at home" life and job.

Keeping Kids Entertained (Not Ignored) While You Work at Home: I love working at home --I really do. I LOVE my kids -- I REALLY do! Making the two work together without any hitches--is impossible. My littlest one, who is 4 now -- was quite a challenge when she was a baby. You moms out there working at home with an infant -- you have my greatest respect.

Home Business Idea - Selling on eBay or Having an eBay Store: I hadn't ever really thought about making money through auctions until I started talking to some of the people I had bought from at eBay. Our idle chit-chat regarding the item I had purchased would often turn into a conversation about "working at home." Of course--I LOVE talking about working at home too! I am always fascinated by those who are doing it--and how they are doing it.

Internet Home Business Without a Website: I receive many emails each and every week. Of course most of them are about working at home. I do my best to answer questions, but for the most part --the bulk of my answers are found on my website. Typically folks think I might have a secret stash of "work at home" jobs or a link to that "pot o gold" job that I haven't shared.

Home Business "Freshness" Is Part of My Research: I love the idea of a home business--don't you? I like the camaraderie of sharing ideas and suggestions and slow biz blues with other reps in the same company.

Getting Your Boss to Say "Yes" To Telecommuting: Before approaching your supervisor, do your homework. Keep a log of what you do on your job for 2 weeks. Divide the tasks into 3 columns: work that can be done at the alternative work site (usually home), work that can only be done at the office, and work that could be done either on or off-site. If the tasks in the 'alternative work site' comes up short, you need to re-think telecommuting. If it is fairly long, you may have a good case for telecommuting.

Loving Your Home Business: Many of us get into a home business because we think it's something that will interest us--or that it's something that will sell well----or the company has a great reputation. But mostly it's to make money, right?! That's something that deserves a fair amount of attention. Sometimes though-we just JUMP in with both feet. Exciting? Maybe. Sometimes we're right--and sometimes ....well....we quit the business before you can say....."I want my money back."

Telecommuting Cover Letters 101: Sending a resume without a cover letter is like flying an airplane with no pilot. It is going to crash and burn. A cover letter is your snappy introduction. It lets the employer know right away why he/she should hire you. Never consider sending a resume naked, it needs its cover letter! I have always encouraged people to write creatively, an average employer who sits and reads resumes all day long has a rather short attention span. Be sure to write something that will catch their eye. There are some basics to writing a good professional cover letter.

Finding Those Elusive Work at Home Jobs on the Internet: Finding home employment does not have to be a nightmare. You just need to know the secrets on how to find them! I have become somewhat of an expert in this field, due to the hours I spend every night looking for these jobs. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist or an Internet expert to locate these elusive jobs.

Marketing to Moms (Stay at Home Moms, a Gold Mine in Recruitment Leads? Maybe, If Done Right.): I’m a mom. I’m a stay at home mom. What am I bombarded with daily in my e-mailbox? Ad blasting, get rich quick junk. A large majority of “home business owners and mlm peddlers” must think we stay at home moms are idiots. Do they honestly think we believe we can make $1,000’s of dollars in 48 hours by mailing circulars, answering emails or placing ads? Come on……

Making Money From Home: We all want to work from the comfort of our home, that is why we are on the Internet everyday looking for that perfect opportunity. There are so many great opportunities out there to make some extra money that I want to share a few of them with you.

Making Money from Home with a Website: I have received many emails asking me how to make money with a web site and if it is profitable. Yes it is profitable and it is not very hard to do. If you are willing to take the time to learn how to create a web site (unless you can spend the money to have someone else do it for you) then you have a great chance of creating yourself a work at home job that pays!

Becoming a Bona Fide Free Agent or Freelancer: Free Agent? Visions of someone dressed in black, spying on others comes to mind. Undoubtedly, it seems most individuals are unfamiliar with the term. Let me clarify what a "Free Agent" is: Someone who works entirely for themselves. Having the ability to work when, where and how long. Generally having a home office and possibly a young child in their lap wreaking havoc with their laptop. An individual who has become fed up with heavy traffic, inconsiderate bosses and spending about 2 hours per day with their families. Other names for a Free Agent: Freelancer, Independent Professional, Self Employed or Independent Contractor. Also known 1099ers by the IRS.

My Own Home Business: So, you say you don't want to be a consultant for a direct sales company...you're tired of all the business opportunities you've seen and think you have an idea for a business that would be satisfying and more profitable? You go girl!!

Work at Home Jobs Right Under Your Nose: The Internet can be a awesome resource for finding information and jobs. But, it also is not the ONLY resource one has to find a job from home. 75% of employers looking to hire someone to work from home DO NOT advertise the position. Let me illustrate a prime example of an employer looking to hire someone to help out from home. Mr. Smith owns a small business in your neighborhood, a small vet clinic on the corner. Business has picked up and there seems to be a lot of “extra” work to be done. Mr. Smith is behind on printing up his vaccination notices, cold-calling past clients that their pet’s shots are due. He also needs someone to whip up some nice flyers about the vaccine special they are having in 2 weeks.

Seriously Making Money Online (for Free!): The number one email that I get every week asks me if there really is money to be made online by reading emails, taking surveys or playing games and surfing online.

Telecommute Resumes 101: So you're ready to ditch the 2 hour morning commute and become more productive by working at home. You find the perfect job and decide to send the company your resume, you wait, then you wait some more, then nothing happens. Are you wondering why they are not beating down your door to hire you? It could be your "first impression" was a dud.

Taking Advantage of the Free Agent Craze and Working from Home: As a “Free Agent” I not only have the luxury of working from my home, I have complete control over what work I choose to do. A “Free Agent” is an individual who works on a contract or freelance basis by either telecommuting or working on site if they want. Unless your boss is willing to allow you to work from home, the next best way to telecommute is to freelance.

How To Telecommute Successfully: Telecommuting is becoming more and more popular these days. Why? Because our technology enables us to do almost anything from a home office. Virtual meetings can be held via the Internet with a web camera and finished work can be sent by e-mail. We waste a lot of time and energy just getting to and from work. How many hours have you wasted in grid locked traffic or waiting for a late bus, car-pooler or train? Telecommuters are generally more productive, provided you don't let distractions get in your way! So how do you get the boss to let you telecommute?

WAHM and SAHM Shops: This holiday season there seems to be more and more folks shopping online than ever before. I must admit, I have been doing a large portion of my Christmas shopping online for the last 3 years. I take advantage of free shipping offers, and discounts offered to only "online shoppers." I have gotten some great deals, and everything delivered in a timely fashion----as long as I ordered by the deadline.

Tips on Starting and Generating Income from Your Own Website: I can’t express how much FUN and how rewarding it is to have your own website! In my opinion, if you are having a very difficult time landing a good work at home job and would like to make money from home as soon as possible, I HIGHLY recommend jumping on the idea of starting your own web site. I work when I want and pick my hours, usually at night after my two boys are sleeping. I am going to answer some common questions I have received over the past few months.

Why Can't I Land a Telecommuting Job?: I get many, many emails from people desperately looking to do work from home. Most, have children they want to be closer to (or can't afford daycare), sick loved ones, disabilities and other very legitimate reasons to want to work from their home office. There literally hundreds upon thousands of people in the USA alone searching for a great job to do from home, Sadly, some (if not the majority) have been searching for months, even years! The most sought after jobs and therefore the hardest ones to land are in administration, data entry and Internet research.
